Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a Lenovo Manufacturing Configurator (LMC) Modeler to develop and implement translation and conversion rules between FC and SBB, while delivering key details on component placement, connection topology, and dependencies to the manufacturing site for Lenovo ISG products, in accordance with the requirement document.

Your other responsibilities will be to:

  • Code the translation and conversion rules between FC and SBB, provide key components placement, connection topology and dependencies to manufacturing site for Lenovo ISG products portfolio according to the requirement document.
  • Analyze the requirements of LMC special rules and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design the LMC special rules, evaluate the risks and feasibility.
  • Compile partial Complete Order Validation (COV) rules which cannot be covered by rule tables to validate that the order is manufacturable.
  • Provide addressing information for manufacturing testing team's verification at products/components NPI stage.
  • Implement special bid request in manufacturing config by Request Price Quote (RPQ) process.
  • Provide whole products life cycle support during the NPI (MFG pre-SVT, SVT) and sustaining stage until EOL.
  • Strictly according to the delivery schedule and key dates request to deliver codes.
  • Resolve MFG site configuration problems and testers created defects in time.
  • Perform Unit Test before code delivery, debug and troubleshoot.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Position Requirements:

  • Proven track record in a similar role, having the experience in programming/coding is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree (degree in information system technology or computer science or automation is preferred).
  • Strong logical thinking ability and communication skills, fast learner.
  • Fluent English (written/oral communication) skills is a must.
  • Server background, manufacture, server development or server testing related.
  • Ability to work independently and effective operating under pressure.
  • Knowledge of other systems (Windchill, ECC, S4, etc.) is preferred.

Base gross monthly salary starts from 2100 EUR. The final offer could be, of course, negotiated higher than the advertised minimum - it all depends on your experience! In addition, there is also a variable part (a bonus) in value of 12% of your annual earnings.
