Description and Requirements
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Navigate across Lenovo to source, evaluate, identify, and shape potential opportunities and concepts for setting up the incubation business from scratch.
• Make recommendations of potential incubation businesses to the senior leadership for the fit of Lenovo group's objectives and strategies, and support the incubation business's early "blueprint" development.
• Support the translation of strategy blueprint into actionable plans, like developing, managing, and directly contributing to work plans and budget management, etc.
• Industry research on incubation business-related markets, identify size and trend, industrial value chain, competitors, business models, etc.
• Monitor benchmark companies and identify competitive advantages and gaps.
• Refine incubation methodologies that fit Lenovo. Build a corporate incubation business platform to facilitate structured discussion/assessment of identified Incubation initiatives.
• Assist in strategic initiatives driven by data/research to develop short and long-term strategies.
• Develop business operation flow that can facilitate efficient and effective discussions/decision-making of incubation initiatives.
• Build BMS to collect, monitor, and assess the active pipeline of incubation initiatives across BG / Geos / Functions teams.
• Work cross-functionally across the company on a variety of incubation projects.
Requirements:
• Demonstrated strong analytical skill and hypothesis-driven problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and possess a strong capability of critical thinking to solve complex issues and surface clear, actionable insights for leadership.
• Collaborative team contributor; excellent listening skills; effective influencer (e. g., influencing without authority); strong interpersonal skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with actions in highly ambiguous environments - enjoys exploring nascent opportunities with large potential.
• Exceptional written & verbal communication, both in Mandarin and English.
• An MBA degree from a top school is preferable; overseas experience is a plus.
• Candidates MUST have 3-5 years of experience from top consulting companies with solid performance track records (McKinsey, Bain, BCG); Experience in strategy positions in multi-national corporate companies of technology.
• Successful candidates must possess a strong passion and high curiosity in emerging technologies.
