Description and Requirements

  • Monitor server and storage infrastructure health and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex server and storage-related issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks like patching, upgrades, and firmware updates.
  • Implement and maintain server and storage solutions, including virtualization, SAN, and NAS.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to L1 engineers.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and meet service delivery objectives.
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of server hardware (Dell, HP, IBM) and storage systems (SAN, NAS).
  • Proficiency in server and storage operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, VMware ESXi).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in server and storage technologies (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, VCP, CCNA)
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in server and storage administration
