Join the Lenovo HPC team in Germany as a Junior HPC & AI Pre-Sales Technical Solution Architect

As a Junior HPC & AI Pre-Sales Technical Solution Architect, you will work alongside your experienced Lenovo HPC teammates in Germany to turn client requirements into leading edge supercomputing solutions. In your pre-sales role, you will support senior architects in designing solutions, from selecting the right building blocks, to turning them into configurations, to describing, discussing, and presenting solutions to our clients.
Our clients are among the leading clients in Europe spanning from public sector to manufacturing to racing teams. You will also build and nurture relationships with technical stakeholders and influencers of clients and prospects to advance their HPC infrastructure solutions, making them more powerful, energy-efficient, and sustainable. You will help our clients to make HPC & AI better for our planet and accelerate their research and development to reduce carbon footprint.
Our team of Lenovo HPC experts will provide you with training on our solution portfolio, essentials tools and processes, and help you develop your skills in technical HPC solution design. You are part of the DACH HPC team, reporting to the HPC Director for DACH, France, UK and Ireland. You will collaborate with our EMEA and global HPC team, joining not only the best HPC team in the world, but also our HPC family at Lenovo.
What to expect? or: Your Role & Responsibilities
• Together with a senior HPC architect, you are responsible for a set of clients and projects, through the entire technical sales cycle, from initial solution discussion and requirement gathering, to solution design and iteration to final proposal and closing. This includes solution consulting and selection, to technical solution design according to customer requirements.
• While you will start working in a junior role supporting our senior team members, you will over time take over more responsibility and client facing contact along your growth in skills and experience.
• You work closely with the Lenovo HPC sellers to jointly design & bid winning projects. As part of your role, you will see future product & technology roadmaps and work closely also with our developments to address future client and industry requirements.
• You work closely with the extended Lenovo sales & technical teams e.g., account managers, benchmarking experts, developers, and services specialists to achieve common revenue and profit goals.
• You actively participate in weekly team meetings for best practice sharing. In addition, you are participating in regular calls of our technical HPC community to exchange and learn together.
• You will be working flexibly 3 out of 5 days in our Stuttgart office and up to 2 days in your home office - except when travelling to see clients and attend events. In our office you will build your network within Lenovo and learn from our experienced team. During your initial training period our senior HPC team member will spend good time with you in our office or at client sites to ensure you have a great onboarding and learning experience as well become integrated into our extended team.
What to bring? or: Your Profile
• Excitement for data center, server and networking technology and motivation to dig deep into the details, but also for acquiring a breadth of technical skills. Preferably, you have previous technical HPC or AI experience (e.g. during studies or internships).
• Eager to work with clients. Preferably, you have previous client-facing experience (e.g. during internships or jobs during your studies).
• Bachelor or Master of Science (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) degree and Client-oriented and independent way of working
• Strong skills in prioritization and structuring your own work including complex engagements
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Motivated and interested in technical sales and the IT industry
• Fluent German and English, both spoken and written.
