Description and Requirements
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advisory Imaging Software Engineer to join our team at Motorola Mobile. In this role, you will be responsible for developing prototypes of future-oriented camera algorithms for our mobile phones. You will also play a crucial role in integrating advanced camera algorithms from vendors and prototyping them to ensure seamless operation on Motorola Mobile phones. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in C++ programming, with a focus on camera imaging algorithm development, image processing, computer vision, and computational photography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with vendors to integrate and prototype advanced camera features, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance on Motorola Mobile phones.
- Implement and maintain image processing pipelines, ensuring robustness and reliability across different hardware platforms.
- Conduct thorough performance evaluations and optimizations to meet stringent quality standards and user experience expectations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in camera technologies, computer vision algorithms, and computational photography techniques.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality camera solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong emphasis on C++ programming.
- Proven track record in camera imaging algorithm development, image processing, computer vision, or computational photography.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Qualcomm camera engine CHI/CAMX is a plus
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) is advantageous.
- Experience in optimizing algorithms for mobile platforms, particularly Android.
- Previous work in integrating and prototyping camera algorithms from third-party vendors.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Passionate about technology with a keen interest in mobile devices and camera technologies.
