Description and Requirements

The EMEA Events team seeks an experienced, creative, organized, and driven Events Manager. The role focuses on supporting the EMEA region's event strategy by planning, organizing, and executing various events. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and demonstrate a track record of successful event delivery. Collaborating with departments like marketing, sales, and product is essential to ensure alignment with Lenovo's strategic goals and brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Execution: Plan, organize, and execute events, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and high-standard delivery.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate, and maintain vendor, supplier, and venue relationships; ensure contract adherence.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop, manage, and monitor event budgets, ensuring financial compliance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand objectives and provide regular event progress updates.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee event logistics, including travel, accommodation, catering, and transport arrangements.
  • Data & Platform Management: Utilize event management tools and platforms for effective communication and data tracking.
  • Communication Development: Craft and refine content for events, including emails, websites, and printed materials.
  • On-Site & Post-Event Management: Manage events on-site and conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify improvements.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in event planning and management, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple events.
  • Accountability: High sense of ownership and accountability in delivering successful events.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and event management tools.
  • Flexibility: Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and travel as required
