Description and Requirements

This position is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive individual with exceptional business management or product management skills to be part of a high-performance organization within a leading global computer manufacturer. You are closely collaborating in a multicultural environment with countries to build solid and sustainable quarterly business plans considering the different aspects of the Marketing Mix such as Channel Strategy and Product Positioning mix as well as seasonal promotion activities / campaigns. Key objective is to ensure via analytical and systematic approach the right market/segment focus which is required to drive a leading position in the respective countries IT business.

Business Planning Responsibilities:

  • Align with EMEA category team and Business Units to set key quarterly/annual business objectives including units/share, revenue, and profit; primarily focused on Gaming Notebooks and Premium Notebook.
  • Review market analysis, including sell in and sales out.
  • Work close with countries to plan and execute key retail cycles.
  • Drive initiatives to maximize share, mix, margin and overall product contribution to the portfolio & business.
  • Manage gross to net budget (GTN), including tactical pricing dollars, needed to drive execution of campaigns.
  • Evaluate performance against plan at appropriate intervals (e.g., weekly, monthly) and make corrective actions to keep on track to achieve goals.
  • Present details to management teams on a regular basis.
  • Provide relevant input to the annual & quarterly planning cycles by LOB key financials (Platform Mix, Units, AUR, AUM, Rev$, Margin$)
  • Identify opportunity to country to grow business

Product Related Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage Product Transitions with a view to maximizing revenue & profit
  • Ensure accurate forecasting for relevant products; co-owner (with Sales) for forecast
  • Effectively differentiate Lenovo offerings from competitive alternatives and create distinct customer preference for Lenovo offerings. Knows when to bring elements of competitors' offerings or products into the equation to create the highest yielding deal for the customer and Lenovo.
  • Feedback competitive "price: spec" details to product team to help arrive at appropriate positioning and product messaging.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience
  • Bachelor Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of product life cycle management & retail/telco business model.
  • Strong understanding of promotional programs mechanics for consumer markets
  • Good understanding of consumer buying behavior (seasonality)
  • Good understanding of the PC industry - products and technology
  • Maintains mastery of competition's offerings, strategies, and plans
  • Strong drive for results
  • Strong interpersonal skill & keen attention to details
  • Ability to manage through influence, negotiation.
  • Strong verbal (presentation) and written communication skills
