Description and Requirements
Position: Data Science and Analytics Manager
Job Type: Regular

Responsibilities:
• Data Science and Analytics Manager is expected to play a lead technical role in architecting data science and AI solutions in order to achieve outstanding business outcomes for the business operations
• Work with the Heads of functions/Geos to define key questions and projects that will transform the business
• Work closely with a team of data scientists and solve business problems by applying advanced Analytical and Machine Learning algorithms and complex statistical models
• Implementing and improving AI models for business
• Demonstrate strong thought-leadership and consult with product and business stakeholders to build, scale and deploy holistic data science products after successful prototyping.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in achieving data science outcomes and handle multiple products and initiatives.
• Follow industry best practices, stay up to date with and extend the state of the art in machine learning research and practice, drive innovation by applications of those
Position Requirements
• Strong ability to understand the business and good stakeholder management capabilities and has mentored data scientists in developing ML solutions.
• Deep knowledge of the foundations of AI, Machine Learning and Statistics and has made significant original contributions to the area both in research and practice.
• Solid experience working with state-of-the-art supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms on real-world problems, forecasting using traditional and data science techniques, Text Analytics to uncover patterns within unstructured data sets
• Strong Python coding skills and able to work with at least one other programming language such as Spark/Scala.
• Ability to work in a big data ecosystem - expert in SQL
• Collaborating with IT and other internal groups to address data quality, master data management, data governance and metadata management goals and issues.
• Hands-on expertise on BI tools like Power BI and Tableau
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Mathematics, Sciences or other technical discipline with advanced certifications on Data Science and Analytics
• 10 years of professional experience in Analytics and Data Science Applications with team leading experience
• Experience with machine learning and AI
• Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems
• Project management and time management skills - experience with end-to-end project management processes
• Ability to provide insight from multiple raw and refined data sources
