Description and Requirements

The Bill of Materials Engineer will work on Customer BOM/EC enablement including data releases, IT system enablement, EC releases and label EC management.

Additionally, this role will also require end-to-end data enablement with customers and Lenovo's internal teams, including engineering and manufacturing data enablement.

• Work with global teams to define shipment features and specs

• Build Product CTO BOM and MECH.BOM correctly

• Create BOM/EC data release plan and track data readiness

• Closely work and communicate with related functional teams to ensure E2E data accuracy

• Resolve BOM/EC issues quickly and accurately

• Work with internal team to plan part transitions

• Perform both sustaining and NPI BOM changes

• Ability to program in VBA or Python to validate work

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline
• 3+ years BOM/EC working experience in server and hardware development

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in direct customer engagements
• Masters degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering is a plus• Hyperscale/Cloud experience a plus

• Experience with MS Office products especially excel and outlook

• Knowledge of server components and parts
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation
• Ability to interface with Lenovo and customer
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead teams and have the autonomy to make decisions

• Good documentation and organizational skills

• Ability to quickly learn, question, and collaborate on solving problems
• Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in the Mexico, US and Asia
