Description and Requirements

About Our Team
We are hiring a AI GPU Performance Engineer to work in Lenovo's Cloud Service Provide Group (CSP). This is a fast-paced customer-centric organization that will adapt to changing market demands to serve customer needs.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop software solutions for GPU cluster architecture and performance validation.
  • Manage and maintain code bases, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient version control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on OS, network, and hardware components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, OS, network, and hardware issues.
  • Clearly document designs, processes, and protocols.
  • Present information to internal cross-functional teams and customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 4+ years work experience or PhD in EE or CS
  • 3+ years of experience with C++ or Python programming
  • Understanding CPU, GPU, PCIe and Network architectures and low-level optimization techniques, memory hierarchy and instruction scheduling
  • Experience with using communication libraries such as MPI, NCCL, RCCL or UCX.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow,
  • Experience in high-performance computing (HPC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of AI training workloads and demands on networks.
  • Understanding of RDMA congestion control mechanisms on IB and RoCE Networks.
  • Understanding of the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
