Our Mission Solutions Business Area (MSBU) at Leidos is seeking a System Administrator to support a government contract in the National Capital Region (NCR). This is a dynamic non-enterprise IT work environment which requires work schedule flexibility. This position is 100% in the office, there is no ability for remote or hybrid work, and there may be some business travel (approximately 10% of the time).

Are you ready to make an impact?

In this role you will leverage your extensive experience working outside of the enterprise IT environment to install, configure, support and maintain hardware and software. You will:

  • Manage Active Directory domain and infrastructure to include DNS, DHCP, Group policy, etc.
  • Configure server roles, promote server roles such as domain controllers, configure RAID, and configure services provided from network servers.
  • Configure and deploy Windows servers and Windows workstations in virtual and physical environments.
  • Manage hypervisor host and VMs.
  • Maintain new and current systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space, and implementing critical system patches.
  • Provide procurement support for hardware and software that is not associated with enterprise software/hardware.
  • Regularly employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions in order to achieve IT objectives.
  • Maintain and coordinate assets in enterprise inventory system.
  • Respond to various ad hoc IT support requests.
  • Travel for business purposes, up to 10% of the time.

Clearance Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required. We do not have the ability to nominate candidates for clearance processing.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated experiencing managing and maintaining PC, server, laptop, and printer hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated experience working outside of an enterprise IT environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2022/2016, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Windows Server Update Servers (WSUS), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and Dell EMC Unity Storage.
  • Demonstrated experience applying efficient task management and ability to adjust to changing requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a team
  • Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining system documentation
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. and ability to conduct IT services in tight spaces such as under or behind desks, in network closets, etc.
  • Ability to travel for business, up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Experience with Rubrik, Linux, Unix, VMware/ESXI, software license management.
  • Experience terminating Fiber Optic (ST-SC-LC) and CAT-6 cabling.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
