We have an exciting opportunity with the National Security Sector of Leidos for a VBS-4 Integration Trainer. You will be responsible for developing scenarios for exercises and training opportunities that support the development of NATO SOF Air/Aviation. Support for the implementation of scenarios in existing opportunities (VBS4 multidimensional simulator), as well as the creation of organic possibilities. Utilizes and manages these scenarios and opportunities to improve NATO SOF Air/Aviation capabilities and build a network of SOF Air/Aviation related venues.

Primary Tasks
Configuration, management, administration and maintenance of the simulator workstations.
Installation, configuration, management, administration, of VBS4 software
Maintain awareness of software updates and issues
Upgrade the VBS4 software version to the most current functional release
Integrate VBS4 software with QGIS data
Develop, and maintain a back-up policy for the VBS4 System
Develop, manage and update the SOF Air Aviation VBS4 scenarios for exercise and training opportunities in collaboration with the ADD subject matter experts, (SME)
Train instructors, facilitators and students about how to use the VBS4 features.
Administer and supervise simulation sessions in collaboration with the ADD instructors and SMEs.
Operate and supervise the routine operation of VBS4 LAN facilities.
Perform archiving control and services, monitor the system performance quality, performs routine checks.
Report any VBS4 software issue to the Bohemia Company and implement possible solutions.
Provides planning data for hardware and software upgrades.
Advises ADD director on technical upgrade requirements.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Direction / Supervision Received
Primarily receives tasks and priorities for work assignments from the shift supervisor or site
manager.
Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated ability to apply hardware/software diagnostic skills in systematically isolating and resolving simulator discrepancies.
Demonstrated ability to assist students in operation of simulators and instructor station operation.
Fully competent in conducting simulator prefights and preparation of training devices for student training.
Ability to interact with students in an English as a Second Language (ESL) environment
WHAT SETS YOU APART
Education/Training
Information Technology specialist.
Certified VBS4 admin course completion.
Work Experience:
Military service, IT specialist, 10-20 years.
3-5 years in operating and providing technical support to the VBS simulator
Experience in maintenance and operations of network systems in a LAN based client-server
Ability to perform hardware installation including appropriate connectivity to the network
Skilled in networking and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and administration in a LAN environment using Active Directory Services
Extensive knowledge of Linux operating system, WMware, ESXi and vSphere client
Wide-ranging experience in Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Graphics Presentation, Database, Email Clients/Web Browsers, Web Content Management
Must have or must be able to obtain US Secret Clearance
Must be able to travel to Belgium and other European Countries as required by the contract.
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
NATO international deployment experience
Previous or current assignments to ADD, NATO SOFCOM
Familiarity with the following SOFCOM courses:
NATO Special Operations Air Planning Course (SOAPC)
NATO Special Operations Air Mission Commander (SOAMCC)
NATO Special Operations Air Task Group (SOATGC)
NATO SOF Air Mission Execution (SOAMEX)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
