The Software Accelerator advances software technology at Leidos. As a part of that mission, we are also striving to improve the software development experience across the entire company and as such, we're looking for a Lead User Experience Architect to help define and guide our solutions to ensure we are meeting the needs for software developers and software solution delivery teams (including PMs and non-technical roles associated with software delivery).

They will develop and implement research methodologies and statistical analysis plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes used in new products and processes, such as how software teams collaborate, how they take over existing software platforms, start new development projects, how they access and utilize commercial technologies, and how they train and learn about the latest skills and technologies.

The Lead UX Architect will interfaces with software teams across the company to inform and drive internal research and development work to improve how Leidos offers new capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
-Enhance and articulate UX elements of the Leidos software strategy
-Design, articulate, and lead UI/UX solution development for an outstanding Leidos software developer experience that will transform the workflow of thousands of developers and software delivery team members.
-Manage diverse teams within the program to work directly with experts and software technical leaders to understand their existing tools, data and workflow to ensure newly developed tools and technology will meet the needs of the community while maximizing user acceptance.
-Serve as a leading technical expert on UX for the Software Accelerator ensuring that advanced technologies including those related to software development, but also cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and machine learning and digital engineering technologies may transition successfully into wide operational use with maximum user adoption.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, information systems, data science, or a related field with at least 12+ years with advanced UX.
• 2+ years' experience developing advanced UI/UX for software systems.
• 5+ years' experience developing UI/UX for software systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively about UX and its relationship to diverse program/project needs with a broad range of audiences, particularly internal leaders, external customers and from sophisticated software technology researchers to those with little or no relevant background.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience delivering solutions meeting mission needs for Defense, Intelligence, or civil government customers
• MBA or other advanced training/experience in business strategy.
• Formal credentials in design, graphic design, and/or UI/UXE.
• Established relationships with leading AI companies.
• Experience in developing novel UI/UX for AI systems that foster user trust.
• Experience broad set of current interface and software design tools and elements including (but not limited to): Adobe XD, Axure, Illustrator, InDesign, Kibana, Tableau, Confluence, Jira, HTML, CSS, Javascript.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
