Description
We are looking for a User Centered Designer (UCD) that can gather and understand business requirements and align them to the technical requirements. The role will be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. The UCD will also be expected to assist in the design of the overall functionality of the user flows, and to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing and stakeholder feedback.
This role is a fully telecommuting role. Candidate MUST:
be a US Citizen, be currently located in the United States for the current three consecutive years and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities
- Conduct user research with user and stakeholder interviews, analyze data and conduct surveys
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Design and deliver mockups using established design system and optimize designs for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex user flows.
- A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
- Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma.
- Ability to work with stakeholders and Product Owners to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions.
- Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to teams and clients.
- A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
- Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
- Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
- Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
Must have a portfolio showcasing research and solutions.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
