Description

Leidos is seeking qualified candidates to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, who will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies. The Test Engineer work with 9 Product Owners and 3 Scrum Masters, to develop test cases and plans for each of the 9 capabilities. The Test Engineer will participate in all aspects of testing utilizing Jira to document test cases and result. The Test Engineer will estimate test efforts, working with systems engineering tools, and interfacing with customers, users, product developers, and other stakeholders. They will execute test cases, document results and work with engineers to resolve bugs prior to delivery of test plan to a third-party tester.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of systems. Participate in the design and building of test scenarios.
  • Write test procedures and protocols to assess system reliability and evaluate the ability of systems to meet performance standards and specifications.
  • Gather test data and evaluate test results to conclude if system designs and architecture meet specifications and performance expectations.
  • Develop test simulations to evaluate how systems react under different conditions and analyze system failure to assess the integrity and reliability of system performance.
  • Define debug protocols for test hardware and software.
  • Analyze test cases and scenarios and report results.
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups to improve or upgrade system performance.
  • Provide technical advice to other organizations and leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Must possess and maintain active DoD Secret clearance prior to start with Leidos
  • Experience with effectively detecting, tracking, reporting, and communicating test defects.
  • Experience with the life cycle of software in military simulation systems.
  • Familiar with agile development methodologies and test-driven development.
  • Expertise in the Atlassian tool suite, to include JIRA and Confluence
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Current IAT Level II or higher Certification such as Security + or CISSP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Functional experience with test automation, creating automated test cases and test scripts.
  • Familiarity with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development, and execution testing.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
