Leidos is seeking experienced Technical Writer for our client's operational requirements on a mission focused program within a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Maryland area. Successful candidates in this position will collaborate with a diverse group of individuals across the intelligence community and directly contribute to Policy documents, white papers and other materials.

Primary Responsibilities: Sr. Writer

  • Responsible for editing, proofreading, and providing writing support on non-technical and/or technical documents or sections of documents prepared by writers such as manuals, procedures and specifications.
  • Duties may include ensuring documents meet editorial and government specifications and adhering to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
  • Influences development of solutions that impact strategic project/program/family goals and business results.
  • Recommends and implements new solutions, processes, policies, standards in support of function's strategy and operations.
  • Provides measurable input to new solutions, processes, or standards to achieve functional / project objectives.
  • Adapt to the writing style of leadership to ensure swift document approvals

Basic Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Poly
  • Experienced technical writer on relevant intelligence areas
  • Experience in the IC
  • Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.
  • Has expert knowledge of industry practices, advanced techniques and solutions within a professional discipline to develop new standards, processes, and solutions.
  • Typically requires a BA degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of IT systems
  • Experience in ODNI
  • Understanding of IC ITE systems

Pay Range:

Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
