Description

Under limited supervision, responsible for providing effective and efficient training for Leidos staff, customers and/or users, and ensuring the correct operation and maintenance of company equipment and products. The duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Technical

  • Responsible for conducting and developing all technical training programmes (internal and external) for a wide range of products, technologies and working practices in line the Company Operating Procedure 22.
  • Delivers courses for training technical employees and/or customers in the use and/or maintenance and repair of all products. May conduct training in-house or at customer locations throughout EMEAI. Updates and reviews training material in line with ongoing hardware/software changes.
  • Educates class on safety, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Assists in determining training objectives. Leads in development of training course curricula (outlines, handouts, tests, etc.) Develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
  • Maintains records of training activities and employee progress. Liaises with the Training coordinator and delivers training documentation on course completion.
  • Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees' progress.

Skills & Attributes

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications: MS Office, Windows Operating System and Linux.
  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies as well as wiring diagrams, schematics, and complex digital and analogue circuitry is required.
  • Knowledge of complex mechanical systems, familiarity with test equipment (standard power tools, mechanical/digital measuring devices, multi-meter, oscilloscope, and safety equipment)
  • Must have excellent customer interface, presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written in a technical environment.
  • Experience with High Voltage and X-ray producing equipment preferred.

Experience

  • Proven experience of successfully delivering and/or developing technical training programs.
  • Knowledge of learning theories and skilled in classroom presentation required.
  • Previous experience in a similar working environment


  • Wide ranging technical background

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Completion of a technical trade school or military training

Other

  • Clean Driving licence
  • Full passport
  • Ability to obtain airside pass with 5-years employment references attainable
  • Travel may be required in the UK / internationally
  • May be required from time to time to lift heavy weights and be able to work non-standard hours and travel weekends
