Description
The Leidos NISC IV program is looking for a Technical Editor to join our team to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The ideal candidate must be able to support the FAA in editing, proofing, and maintenance of standards, manuals, procedures, user guides, training materials, storyboards, scripts, eLearning products, and other publications.
Primary Responsibilities
As part of the quality control of our customer deliverables, this role will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct quality control review of all customer deliverables including editing, proofing, and formatting of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint products.
- Conduct quality control review of all videos, eLearning and microlearning products, and all other multimedia products developed by the team.
- Maintain training manuals, style guides, training materials, and other publications in the SharePoint repository.
- Collaborate with the instructional design team to ensure all products are high quality relative to content, graphics, format, flow, and style, while maintaining FAA guidelines and standards.
- Review technical training content for readability, clarity, consistency, completeness, accuracy, tone, organization, usability, and visual design.
- Conduct side-by-side comparison of training materials to ensure flow and consistency.
- Take and maintain meeting minutes and associated document repository.
- Assist in the maintenance and updating of all documentation repositories and project plans as necessary.
- Conduct research as necessary to ensure current practices are applied to the role.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communication, English, Journalism or related area and 3-4 years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word to apply templates, insert watermarks, create cross-references, insert/update captions, apply/update styles, and insert/update tables of contents and other references.
- Strong organization skills to prioritize, follow up, deliver, and communicate status of assigned tasks and actions.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass FAA security screening for positions of public trust.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Federal Government work environment.
- Experience with FAA Acquisition Policy.
- Knowledge of and experience managing FAA Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN) and MS Teams.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
