UniCORN, developed by Leidos, revolutionizes ISR operations by enabling quick and effective planning, collection, analysis, and production of intelligence. This highly intuitive workflow orchestration system optimizes ISR problem sets, providing enterprise and site-level intelligence production management services for global ISR operations.

As the Systems Integration Engineer, you'll oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of internal hardware and the UNICORN software web application. Your role involves ensuring seamless integration and support across development and production networks within a Microsoft Windows and VMware environment, utilizing cutting-edge methodologies and fostering collaboration.

Daily Responsibilities

System Configuration and Management:

  • Implement complex total systems configurations for virtual appliances and physical hardware builds, including installations and upgrades.
  • Configure and manage systems to support internal hardware and the UNICORN software web application across development and production networks.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instruction documentation.
  • Manage end-point device connectivity, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Prepare and deploy system images according to project plans and initiatives.
  • Oversee software patching, configuration, and updates, ensuring compatibility and security.

Software Deployment and Support:

  • Support and execute both virtual and physical deployments of the UNICORN software.
  • Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and repair the UNICORN web application using C#.NET, Entity Framework, and SQL Server 2012/2016/2019 at various customer sites.
  • Ensure successful deployment and operation of UNICORN on de
  • velopment and production networks.

System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Respond to system faults, analyzing and correcting application or system issues to restore service.
  • Perform technical analysis and provide solutions in unfamiliar or non-standard network environments.
  • Maintain and update relevant system and process documentation.
  • Maintain and update required certificates, tracking revocation dates to ensure service continuity.

Hardware and Network Support:

  • Manage and support hardware operations, including installation, configuration, and upgrading of servers in LAN, WAN, and standalone environments.
  • Experience with Server Rack Hardware installation, server enclosure configurations, and data center maintenance and operations.
  • Create and maintain network and data center diagrams, rack elevations, and drawings.
  • Troubleshoot system hardware applications, services, events, and settings.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members.
  • Efficiently manage time and technical responsibilities, set realistic expectations, and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Provide clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, with team members and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field:

    • Associate degree: 4 - 6 years of experience required
    • Bachelor's Degree: 2 - 4 years of experience required
    • Master's Degree: 0 - 2 years of experience required
  • Eligibility for US DoD Top Secret SCI clearance; US citizenship required.
  • Proficiency in technical integration of servers, including rack server technology and hardware solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise, network, systems, operations, and support.
  • Experience with Server Rack Hardware installation, server enclosure configurations, and data center maintenance and operations.
  • Skilled in creating and maintaining network and data center diagrams, rack elevations, and drawings.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting system hardware applications, services, events, and settings.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, security applications, and mitigating system vulnerabilities in line with DoD and ICD directives.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and Red-Hat technology stacks in a DoD enterprise environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various customer sites.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance with eligibility for US DoD Top Secret SCI clearance.
  • Certification: 8570 IAT Level II or III (e.g., Security+ CE, System OS Cert).

If candidate does not have a current Security+, they will receive 6 months to obtain - this will be a condition of employment.

If candidate does not have a current TS/SCI, they will have up to 1 year to obtain - this will be a condition of employment.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
