Your Main Objective:

  • Support the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of complex information systems, including physical facility infrastructure, virtual devices, and physical networking devices in traditional and hyper-converged architectures.
  • Maintain and update physical systems and virtual environments, networking solutions, processes, and architectures to keep pace with industry offerings and trends.
  • Support the design, documentation, and implementation of enhancements to the system, ensuring that application software, cybersecurity, and operational use cases are fully accounted for.
  • Ensure maximum system uptime and rapidly respond to hardware and software failures.
  • Quickly diagnoses operational, performance, or other issues and leads the implementation of resolutions.
  • Responsible for high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers.
  • Coordinates, directs and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Plans and implements the modernization of servers.
  • Develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor of Science degree and 2+ years of IT-related experience, including network administration, system administration, and Hardening systems .
  • Basic Networking TCP/IP and troubleshooting analysis.
  • Windows administration including Windows 11, Windows 10, Server 2016, 2019, 2022
  • Must have Linux administration and yum repository knowledge
  • Must understand SSL certificates, generation and CA authorities
  • IAT Level II Certified
  • Must have Security + CE Certified
  • Microsoft SQL server administration
  • Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
  • Knowledge of Splunk and Splunk queries
  • Implementing DOD STIGs
  • Host Based Security System (HBSS) administration. Including policy design and implementation.
  • Experience managing and maintaining PC, server, laptop, and printer hardware.
  • Experience maintaining and configuring local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
  • Experience with Enterprise Virtualization (VMWare). NSX-T a plus.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple priorities along with a strong work ethic required.
  • Self-starter that works independently while possessing the communication skills to work effectively with engineering teams, customers, and senior leadership.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.

You Might Also Have:

  • Virtual environment NSX-T
  • Scripting with PowerShell, batch, Ansible, or chef
  • Vulnerability scanning with Nessus
  • AWS certification.
  • Experience with Windows software packaging and deployment automation.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
