  • Discovering and detecting security alerts/events
  • Assessing and Prioritizing Compliance
  • Building reports and dashboards
  • Learn and use several cybersecurity applications and tools

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead a start-to-finish project ending with a presentation as part of the internship.
  • Work under the supervision and direction of senior members of the Information Assurance team
  • Participate in the assessment and prioritization of security alerts identified in the environment.
  • Assisting with the design and implementation of dashboards and data visualizations for system owners.
  • Identifying, designing, and driving automation projects for vulnerability management tasks
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to participate in security projects and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related degree, and have completed at least three years of an undergraduate curriculum and maintained a minimum 3.0.
  • Basic understanding of computer networks, systems, and how they interact.
  • Organized and self-directed
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills through on-the-job training and self-directed learning, including researching
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Understanding of Windows OS
  • This position requires US citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with any cyber security tools
  • Knowledge of NIST frameworks
  • Any Professional Certifications
  • Experience with vulnerability management scoring methodologies
  • Experience with application security frameworks

Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
