CO Salary Range: USD 68,900.00 - 124,550.00 per year

Description

Leidos is seeking a talented Sr. Quality Engineer to join our Colorado Springs, CO, team and help us create unique solutions for complex problems. As an intricate member of the team, you will perform engineering functions for the project team involved with design and development of hypersonic manufacturing systems, including component compliance, process compliance, non-conformance identification and reporting, Root Cause and Corrective Actions, support of FAI completion and submission.

Primary Responsibilities.

  • Managing Non-conformances and Corrective Actions for TPS
  • Support Quality Metrics and Trending
  • Support Quality Inspections
  • Knowledge of inspection methodology including Blue Light Scanning helpful
  • Review customer specific flow downs and terms and conditions and ensure conformity within processes
  • Attend contract reviews to communicate responsibilities with regards to statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with engineering and production to monitor companywide metrics
  • Develop quality related procedures and work instructions
  • Communicate with customers to determine nonconformance disposition and corrective action plans
  • Perform Investigation and root cause analysis to drive improvements into processes
  • Generate quality documentation including inspection reports, bubble prints, CAR's, SCAR's RFW's and NCR's

Basic Qualifications.

Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred or have an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with at least 5 years' experience in Quality Engineering under an AS9100 or equivalent experience in DOD and have at least 5 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment.

Associates Science Degree is acceptable or have an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with at least 7 years' experience in Quality Engineering under an AS9100 or equivalent experience in DOD and have at least 7 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment.

In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in quality and/or quality engineering under an AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control.

Qualified candidates must possess an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications.

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with SPC (Preferable)
  • GD&T knowledge

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
