While this is a telework role, selected candidate is required to work Pacific Standard Time.

Primary Responsibilities:

Schedule Integration and Management:

  • Responsible for applying scheduling theory to develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) schedule that ingests data from multiple hosted applications, program office milestones, Jira tickets, and external dependencies.
  • Ensure seamless synchronization between the integrated schedule and Jira, mapping dependencies down to the ticket level.
  • Align scheduling with the future architecture block release plan to support long-term strategic planning.
  • Implement a scheduling framework that adapts dynamically to changes, risks, and shifting priorities.
  • Set and maintain the baseline schedule. Implement program scheduling business rhythms, developing baseline schedules and associated artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements, and monitoring, analyzing, and reporting performance against baseline schedules to ensure that contractual objectives are met.

Risk Analysis & Critical Path Identification:

  • Determine the critical path across different environments and mission objectives to pinpoint potential delays.
  • Run Monte Carlo simulations to assess schedule risk, identify bottlenecks, and forecast completion probabilities.
  • Develop and execute schedule excursions to model different scenarios and assess impact on project timelines.
  • Provide real-time schedule performance analysis at weekly granularity, ensuring clear visibility into potential delays.

Reporting, Visualization & Leadership Communication:

  • Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations, graphic one-pagers, and executive summaries to effectively communicate scheduling data, risks, and status updates to leadership.
  • Generate executive-level reporting that clearly communicates schedule status, risk, and forecasted completion.
  • Utilize third-party software to produce visually compelling one-pager roadmaps for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide trend analysis and performance metrics to drive proactive decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Develop detailed planning documents, decision briefs, and ad hoc reports to support leadership discussions and program reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship with Active Final Secret DoD Clearance.
  • Able to work Pacific Standard Time.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in project scheduling, integrated master scheduling, or program planning in a technical environment. Equivalent years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Project and experience integrating data from applications such as Jira and other agile tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Monte Carlo simulation techniques and tools for risk assessment (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Risk, SSI Tools, or similar).
  • Ability to identify and communicate critical path dependencies across multiple integrated schedules.
  • Visualization & Communication Tools:
    • Proficiency in PowerPoint, developing high-quality presentations and briefings.
    • Experience with graphic design and visualization tools for creating executive-friendly roadmaps and reporting (e.g., SSI Tools, OnePager Pro, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
    • Strong technical writing skills for summarizing scheduling insights in reports and executive briefings.
  • Ability to perform complex schedule analysis, evaluate performance trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical scheduling details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must possess an understanding of advanced scheduling theory including experience with:
    • schedule status processes
    • schedule health assessment (e.g., 14-Point Analysis)
    • baseline change control processes
    • schedule execution metrics (BEI, CEI, CPLI, SV, SPI, etc.)
    • Critical Path Method (CPM) and Margin/Float management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) scheduling within an Agile or DevSecOps environment.
  • Familiarity with DoD, Intelligence Community, or Government contracting schedules and milestones.
