Sr Principal Radar/Signal Processing Engineer

Description

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Sr Principal Radar/Signal Processing Engineer to join our Dayton, Ohio office. The candidate will join a diverse team primarily focused the modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of aerospace weapons, sensors, and related command-and-control entities.

Experienced in the scientific design and computational analysis of radars (ground-based or airborne), missile seekers, and aircraft sensors. You will work with a highly technical team of engineers to design and implement firmware and software for RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators.

Most of the work supports the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community (NASIC, NSIC, MSIC, NGIC, ONI) and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Sensors Directorate. This challenging position requires a diverse set of technical and task management skills and allows for the opportunity to contribute immediately to important, meaningful work.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field from an accredited institute.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid understanding of radar, digital signal processing (DSP), and/or RF communication theory with technical work experience supporting radar, electronic warfare (EW), and/or DSP projects
  • C/C++ coding experience/abilities with understanding of object-oriented software principles
  • Technical leadership experience.
  • Must have strong written communication skills, possess good people skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail and have the desire to work on a highly focused technical team of engineers, analysts, and scientists.

Must be a resident of Beavercreek, OH or be willing to relocate to the Beavercreek, OH area.

Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a final Top Secret/ SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ELINT and/or SIGINT
  • Experience with RFSoC / VHDL / FPGA design practices and tools

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
