Description

Leidos is seeking an experienced Software Test Developer to join our dynamic team. As a T4 level professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will work closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software solutions supporting Cyber Operations for defensive platforms.
  • Provide research, development, testing, and evaluation support for all phases of test automation.
  • Prepare test and evaluation plans, test cases, and reports according to established processes.
  • Research, design, develop, and/or modify test automation using various industry tools for systems and/or applications software.
  • Perform functional, interoperability, and integration testing at various layers of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model.
  • Coordinate with customers, test engineers, and range engineers to ensure that testing infrastructure supports test objectives and associated use-case requirements.
  • Aggregate, examine, and analyze test data to determine capability and functional conformance to requirements.
  • Recommend changes to capabilities and functions based on observations made during testing and evaluation.
  • Actively participate in Agile team planning and test execution.
  • Provide task leadership and mentoring to other test engineers.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and partner test engineers to develop customer testing and test automation solutions.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Integrating, testing, and deploying solutions
  • Developing and maintaining Linux-based command line and scripts
  • Proficiency in Bash, Python, and PowerShell
  • Agile development in DevOps/DevSecOps environments
  • Expertise with test automation tools such as Jenkins, Robot Framework, and Selenium
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, OSI Model, and network traffic analysis
  • Knowledge of Open Source, cloud, virtualization, and microservices technology and software
  • Software test automation experience
  • Programming and/or scripting abilities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires BS and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG for efficient test execution and validation.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and hands-on experience working in Agile environments.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software delivery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with performance testing and security testing.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
