Leidos has an immediate opening for a Software Applications Tester/Requirements Analyst to work on a dynamic program in the Herndon, VA area. In this position, you will be able to use both your manual and automated test skills as well as requirements documentation skills and experience on an exciting high profile contract. This role will support multiple IT projects offering exposure to a variety of technologies and systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful Software Test Engineer/Requirements Analyst candidate will have experience with QA and testing using agile methodology, experience with developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium Web Driver, experience testing browser-based/web applications, experience with various testing phases and approaches such as exploratory, smoke, functional, regression, integration and end to end, experience identifying regression test candidates for automation and automating those test cases, experience with accessibility compliance test execution and results documentation, and experience reporting, tracking, validating and closing defects. A thorough knowledge of the entire SDLC, testing methodologies and their direct implementation to projects is needed. The successful candidate will be able to design test strategies, test plans, and test cases from requirements, design documents and specifications and have a thorough working knowledge of developing, maintaining, and executing test scenarios and test cases.

In addition, experience gathering and refining project requirements and ensuring that functionality is implemented according to customer expectations. The successful candidate will work with the customer (Product Owner and other stakeholders as required) directly on a frequent basis to gather, refine and confirm requirements throughout the project's duration. The Requirements Analyst liaises between the developer(s) and the customer to ensure that the customer requirements are clearly communicated to the developer(s). It is the responsibility of the Requirements Analyst to record and track in JIRA the details of these interactions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be a team player with the ability to work either as part of a team or independently within a rapidly changing environment utilizing good time management and prioritization skills, while maintaining high quality and being flexible to customer needs and timelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's and minimum 8 years of experience OR a Master's and minimum of 6 years of experience OR 12 years + work experience in lieu of degree
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Clearance to be considered
- Formal test background
- Experience with test automation methodologies
- Experience maintaining and configuring Linux and Windows workstations that comprise the test automation environment
- Experience testing Web Applications
- Experience creating formal test documentation
- Ability to organize, track and document complex requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Eclipse, JAWS, Jenkins, Selenium, and Git (gitlab, github)
- Experience with agile development methodologies, Scrum methodology, and test driven development
- Scripting experience
- Ability to juggle competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
