The Leidos CIO Services (CIOS) team under the Digital Modernization (DigMod) sector is seeking talented engineering students for an internship Software Applications Support Intern for the 2025 Summer. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills and make a meaningful impact. CIO Services is dedicated to addressing the evolving needs of both the corporate sector and industry. We are focused on developing new capabilities that align with our Corporate and DigMod charter, paving the way for the future of CIO Services.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative support for the Leidos intranet, including managing user support requests and updating content as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with the intranet.
  • Assist in automating manual processes within the intranet to enhance operational efficiency, including developing and implementing automation scripts for tasks such as data entry and content updates.
  • Generate, analyze, and provide insights from regular reports on intranet usage and performance. Support the creation of custom reports to meet departmental needs, aiding in data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct routine data maintenance to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and organization of information on the intranet. Assist in optimizing internal data structures for improved accessibility.
  • Support security-related tasks for various applications, such as system updates, vulnerability assessments, and compliance monitoring to ensure secure and compliant operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient support for software applications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college in a technical degree program related to Information Technology or Computer Science, having completed at least one year of coursework with a minimum 3.0 GPA by the start of the internship.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A keen interest in automation and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools and the ability to generate meaningful reports.
  • Understanding of IT security concepts.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team-oriented environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) and scripting for automation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
