THE CHALLENGE:
You will play a valuable role in the development and delivery of NATO Special Operations academic curriculum in support of the Allied Special Operations Forces Command.
This dynamic position enables you to work with some of the best Special Operations personnel from across NATO in a multi-national education environment. Courses are generally conducted at the NATO Special Operations University, Chievres Air Base, Belgium, or as Mobile Education and Training events at other NATO or National training sites across Europe.
You will join a faculty team of experts with extensive military experience that truly enjoy mentoring and educating NATO Special Operations professionals on the art and science of military planning and development of tactical solutions to the full spectrum of threats facing the Alliance.
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide instruction to NATO Allied and National special operations forces on NATO Special Operations University (NSOU) courses to include: the NSOU Leadership Academy and Building SOF Course, with the possibility of supporting other specialized courses to include NATO Special Operations Air courses, the SOF Personnel Recovery Course, and the Comprehensive Defense Course.
• Design, develop, and deliver Special Operations curriculum for multi-national students of varying ranks for use in an English as a Second Language learning environment.
• Facilitate small group discussions and seminar events to achieve student learning objectives.
• Provide instructor support to other operationally focused courses, NATO publications development, and augment NATO SOF Allied Command at NATO or national SOF exercises.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
• Master's degree with 6-10+years of relevant prior experience.
• Active SECRET clearance with the ability to qualify for a NATO Secret clearance.
• Special Operations Leadership experience at the Task Unit level or above.
• Prior service in NATO special operations.
• Experience with NATO Allied and partner nations involved in special operations capability development.
• Full understanding of NATO special operations concepts, principles, and doctrine.
• Experience in curriculum development.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Willing to travel to education venues across the NATO Alliance and partner nations.
• Able to work independently from home as a member of a geographically dispersed, cross matrixed team.
YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:
• Leadership experience at the NATO Special Operations Component Command level
• Experience as an Instructor at a national, multi-national, or NATO educational institution.
• Experience working at an operational level multi-national headquarters, Joint Operations Center, or Air Operations Center.
• Experience in Joint or NATO Planning at the operational level.
• Experience with NATO and National military exercises.
• Project Management experience (US PMP/UK PMQ).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00
