This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of services, managing day-to-day operations, and leading a team of professionals in both environments to meet business needs using ITSM standard processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of data center and cloud services, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of all systems and services.

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ITSM staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Service Management: Implement and maintain best practices for service delivery, incident management, and problem resolution, ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
• Asset & Configuration Management: Implement and maintain best practices for recording and monitoring hardware and software assets and the changes to those IT assets.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor and analyze resource utilization and performance metrics to inform capacity planning and infrastructure scaling decisions.
• Vendor Relations: Collaborate with cloud service providers and third-party vendors, managing relationships and negotiating contracts to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all data center and cloud operations comply with relevant security standards and regulations, implementing necessary protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for both data center and cloud environments, ensuring rapid recovery in case of disruptions.
• Cost Management & Financial Operations: Monitor and manage budgets for data center and cloud operations, optimizing resource allocation and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT functional support teams, application development, and business to ensure alignment of cloud and data center services with overall business objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data center and cloud operations management, with a strong understanding of both environments.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing complex operational projects.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and service management best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and experience in ITSM.
• Must be able to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
• Understanding and appropriately responding to feedback promptly.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of infrastructure operations experience across multiple disciplines (OS, hypervisor, storage) with competent understanding of hybrid cloud service operations
• Competent understanding of ITSM processes and experience with agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe using technologies like Jira or ServiceNow
• General understanding of DevSecOps concepts and Site Reliability Engineering.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar.
• Experience with automation tools and technologies (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.

Yes, with ability to be onsite upon request.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
