Leidos is seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator for a position as part of a team supporting the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) in Columbus, OH. This is an onsite position, no full-time telework allowed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide on-site touch labor in a data center environment.
- Build, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and repair computer workstations, servers and IT related peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.)
- Manage and maintain both physical and virtual Windows infrastructures including domain controllers, domain name servers, file print servers, share drives, etc.
- Perform various system administration tasks including Active Directory management and the creation and maintenance of Group Policies, Certificate Revocation Lists (CRL) and user/service accounts
- Validate current security posture and perform system configuration changes, as required or as directed by higher authority, to improve enterprise security
- Leverage Group Policy Objects, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tool and Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs) to maintain required infrastructure security levels and system hardening
- Install and configure software, firmware, upgrades and security updates/patches to maintain and secure Windows 10/11 and Server 2019/2022 operating systems and associated hardware
- Utilize system error logs, user-reported errors and diagnostics scans to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems
- Assist in planning and implementing new hardware/software upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Provide support to engineers for architecture design analysis for technology refresh planning and implementation
- Performs periodic backup and restoration of servers.
- Support temporary, Service Response, continuity of operations support as needed.
- Monitors license and PKI Certificate status, on the systems and coordinates the renewal and installation, as needed.
- Conducts technical analysis and provides documentation (Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting and monitoring, technical reports, etc.) for root cause analysis, technical assessment and process improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology (IT) technical field and 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Must have an active Secret clearance and pass a drug test.
- Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level I approved certification (CompTIA Security+)
- Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in the development, implementation and production support of a Microsoft Windows infrastructure/environment.
- Understanding of server and datacenter infrastructure/environment.
- Understanding of network services as related to Microsoft Windows environment (e.g. DNS, Firewalls, Routers, Ports and Protocols, etc.)
- Cybersecurity knowledge and Windows server 2019 and 2022 administration experience including Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy, the deployment of Windows workstations/servers and the migration end-user data
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one of more of the following: Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs), etc.
- General understanding of cryptographic concepts: symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, secure hash, digital signatures
- Ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers
- Proactive, dependable and accurate with strong attention to detail and organization
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ year experience with PowerShell Scripting
- Experience with certificate-enabled applications such as SSL/TLS, S/MIME, authentication, Encrypted File System, Code Signing, etc.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and environments.
- Hands-on familiarity and experience with Axway Desktop Validator, 90Meter and HID ActivClient middleware applications
- Familiarity with or working knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2203/2204 LTSR components; Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) architecture; Citrix Profile Manager; Workspace App and Citrix NetScaler environment or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Ability to install and configure software, firmware, upgrades and security updates/patches to maintain and secure Windows 10/11, Server 2019/2022, Citrix and VMWare operating systems and associated hardware
- Build, install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Citrix Virtual Apps and desktop farms, Citrix Hypervisors, Citrix FIPS NetScaler Gateway, VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon Virtual Desktops
- • Identify and correct inefficiencies and implement optimizations to improve existing Windows and Citrix infrastructures, as needed.
- • Monitor Citrix infrastructure and identify system alerts, before they impact customers, including storage availability/capacity, performance latency, network connectivity, database health, and other daily health checks, as required.
- • VMware vCenter and VMware ESXi experience
- Virtualization, to include VMWare's entire vSphere Platform and Citrix Hypervisor
- Storage, to include VMWare vSAN and Citrix Pool
- VMWare Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Familiarity with or working knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
- Netscaler MPX, Citrix Application Delivery Controller / Load Balancing with End-to-End FIPS secured communications

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
