Leidos is seeking an Senior Substation Site Civil Engineer to join our site/civil department in our growing Framingham, Massachusetts office to work on a variety of electric utility projects.

Typical projects involve site/civil design engineering for both large and small scale utility projects. Candidates who have commercial/industrial site development experience will also be considered for the position. Candidate will primarily function as a senior engineer performing design reviews on a regular basis, as well as developing junior staff members, and contributing to bids and proposal development.

This role will also consist of taking a responsible engineer role on main client projects, overseeing the work and ensuring quality control on design packages. Site-visits to client substation facilities are expected to be part of the work, along with occasional travel for client meetings and industry related events. Experience in front-facing client operations such as lunch and learns, and kick-off meetings if preferred. Candidate must comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget expectations. This position will be a senior member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.
This position will ideally be staffed at the Leidos office in Framingham, Massachusetts. However, the following locations will also be considered for this position. Hybrid or fully remote may be considered here.

REMOTE CAPABAILITES: *Candidates are able to support remotely but must be able relocate to or live within the United States.
Key Tasks:
- Land development permitting including NPDES, stormwater management, and knowledge of other typical local, state, and/or federal regulations and permit requirements
- Research additional site data through various sources
- Site layout, grading, and drainage design
- Stormwater modeling and design
- Erosion and sediment control design
- Access road design
- Utility coordination and design
- Retaining wall layout and design
- Documentation of all supporting calculations
- Quantity take-offs
- Construction drawings
- Construction specifications
- Construction observation and field engineering
- Coordination and collaboration with other design disciplines
Required Experience & Education:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineer with 4+ years of directly applicable civil-site design experience
- P.E. license preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software
- Experience with Hydraflow, ICPR, or various other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programs
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other general software tools
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Team player with ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Able to execute projects and handle clients successfully with limited supervision
- Willing to travel, up to 25%
- Authorized to work in U.S.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
