Leidos currently has a remote opening for a Senior Software Developer to lead the development, testing, and maintenance of new and existing .NET, javascript, T-SQL applications to support multiple projects related to environmental data management, logistics management, document management and search capabilities, and workflow automation under contracts with the Army Corps of Engineers, Air National Guard, Environmental Protection Agency, Transportation Security Administration, and Commercial entities.

The Senior Software Developer will leverage SecDevOps change management lifecycle procedures, including performing dynamic testing, static code analysis, and peer reviews to ensure code quality. In addition, the Senior Software Developer will perform extract, transform, and load (ETL) operations on the data for assimilation and reporting activities, and will support several web applications.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance; due to contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status is required.

The Senior Software Developer will work with senior Leidos database administrators, security officers, project managers, and will collaborate with multiple Leidos offices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interface daily with software development team
  • Conduct software package design, implementation, testing, and debugging.
  • Support system integration testing to meet project deliverable timelines and release milestones
  • Develop clear and helpful documentation throughout all phases of the development process, including detailed design documents, helpful/concise comments within developed code, and informative descriptions in issues and pull requests
  • Implement best practices for code development and maintenance to improve and ensure code quality
  • Identify and remediate under-performing or exception-producing code objects

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years' relevant experience in Software Development, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Proficient in .NET application development in Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Proficient in developing T-SQL statements and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server
  • The ability to communicate technical information orally and in writing
  • Must possess excellent organization skills and attention to detail

You Might Also Have:

  • Experience using Git, Selenium, and SonarQube
  • Experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Powershell
  • Experience in developing and debugging javascript applications
  • Experience with secure coding principles and adherence to DISA STIGs
  • Experience with integrating identify federation and multi-factor authentication into applications

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
