Your Role and Responsibilities;
As a result of some exciting programme wins, we currently have a permanent vacancy for a Senior Project
Engineer to work alongside the Project Manager Office for our Automotive clients. Supporting a multi[1]functional team and to manage the scheduling of project delivery, change and new business. This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have previous Robotics, Controls and Automation Experience
Delivers a technical solution that satisfies the systems requirements per the approved plans and the contract
Meets all technical contractual requirements
Implements disciplined engineering processes between Project Management Office and Engineering
Works with the Project Managers, Engineering Project Technical Lead /s to ensure all contract technical requirements are met by implementation of the defined technical solution Authorities.
To establish and maintain the formal technical baselines for the program Responsibilities.
To be knowledgeable in detail about the contract technical requirements and provide direction to the program team that will result in a technical solution that meets the eventual user needs and is compliant with the contract requirements
Closely monitors all subcontracted efforts to ensure compliance and no performance gaps between organizations.
Tracks technical, schedule, resource and cost performance measures (TPMs, SPMs, and CPMs) to assess engineering performance against the contract.
Ensure contract management and development activities are completed to support the programme (in consultation the Procurement, Finance and Legal)
Managing supplier and sub-contractors' capacity and capabilities. Manage technical, cost, schedule and contract baselines. Review performance variances and impacts to overall programme performance.
Effective change management to prevent scope creep and contractual change process is followed.
Manage Machine Safety Validation internally and Acceptance by Customer/End User
Ensure all documentation is issued by all parties and validate technical file with support from engineering teams.
You will be expected to contribute towards the creation and ongoing maintenance of PMO documentation and overall Integrated Master Schedule and provide material to support the Project work or the Operational Support service.
You will be self-motivated and be able to work autonomously to achieve day to day objectives with significant results on project or operational deliverables. Whilst also owning a variety of activities ensuring compliance with project milestones and customer KPI's and SLA's. You must be an effective communicator, comfortable directly engaging with customers and colleagues. You must also demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges.
Favourable If You Have;
We are looking for someone with excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills who has:
Proven track record in successfully delivering technical projects or task work packages
Able to demonstrate experience (minimum 3 years) in Project Engineering on automation projects.
Strong technical experience in Tooling, Automation and Controls
Good interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relations to support achieving objectives.
Ability to engage and work within a multi-functional programme team comprising both customer, supplier and internal staff with an awareness of engineering principles.
Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of business, finance and personnel management techniques and the commercial aspects of projects.
The ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively.
Enthusiastic self-starter with good verbal communication
Excellent written communication through the use of e-mail, presentations and reports
