Description

Leidos is seeking a Senior Logistician to directly support a complex simulation training system that will impact and define the logistics support for the Army's critical synthetic training environment. This position will develop and contribute to component and system level solutions involving support planning. The Senior Logistician will be responsible for the completion of tasks and planning related to the breadth of product support associated with a system of system simulation training system.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to work within a small support team to address areas such as logistics product creation, definition and authoring, support system level logistics demonstrations and evaluations.
  • Provide plans and projections for lifecycle sustainment.
  • Author the maintenance support plan/concept including help desk, automated BIT testing, 2 level maintenance concepts, and technical support documentation.
  • Responsible for complex issues that stretch across software, network and hardware integrated solutions in a distributed and virtualized Agile environment.
  • Outputs from this effort will create and validate supporting Product Support Documentation for the complete simulation training system being fielded.
  • Required to meet challenging schedules and must have experience with incremental delivery of successful product support artifacts and services in an Agile environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA degree in related technical field and 12+ years of experience in logistic product development .
  • Ability to operate within an Agile Software Development Life Cycle framework.
  • Must be able to integrate with developers and subject matter experts to determine instructional requirements, collect data, customize design proposals, and implement solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in logistics or system support activities.
  • Proven example of product support planning and successful execution.
  • Able to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to brief and evaluate progress.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and Agile program development.
  • Familiarity with the creation of video, electronic and embedded training and logistics products.
  • Experience working Mil Standard Data Item Descriptions related to logistics products.
  • Experience working on software development projects, especially Agile based development programs, within DOD, US Army and/or PEO-STRI.
  • Currently possess an active DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • Experience in development of training for virtual training devices.
  • Experience as an US Army Staff Officer or Senior Staff NCO at the Battalion level or above.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
