Description
Leidos is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Chief Data & Analytics Office within our Digital Modernization Sector.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Capture business requirements and rules.
- Design associated logical models, and create all required documentation to support, communicate, and validate the data model.
- Design and develop data products for specific use cases
- Manage and work with Data Stewards to define data standards and procedures
- Collaboprate with Data stewards to ensure data is documented. This includes setting up related terms, definitions, and logical models.
- Enable Marketplace in Collibra for users to request access to data
- Establish workflows in Collibra for determining level of access to data for users
- Establish lineage for data in Collibra to help user community understand how the data is sourced and transformed to its current tables
- Assist Data Stewards to profile with running data quality checks on the data. This includes setting up workflows to run reports and alert the data stewards for data issues that they may wish to monitor and check for.
- This position requires a high level of communication and leadership to ensure that these goals are met.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant data management experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong experience in understanding and developing SQL statements for data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, able to translate business requirements and translate them into logical data models
- Hands-on experience in data governance configuration, data profiling and data quality rules.
- Hands-on experience using data governance with data management, data warehousing, data transformation, metadata and reference data management.
- Experience with a data modeling tool supporting an enterprise environment.
- Able to support production promotions and/or issues after hours or weekends.
- Demonstrated experience in working with functional users
- Strong communication skills
- US Citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a modeling tool such as Idera ER Studio, Collibra, etc.
- Experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Snowflake
- Knowledge of AD security
- Experience with data mesh, data warehousing and data products
- Understanding of big data solutions, including commercial cloud solutions.
- Experience with one or more BI tools such as Oracle OAC, Cognos, PowerBI, etc.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
