Leidos is seeking highly qualified candidates for all levels of the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Information Technology Services (CITS) contract. Join our team to provide an innovative, modernized IT life-cycle management system to USCENTCOM, including next-generation IT infrastructure, cloud services, and end-to-end automation. The CITS program ensures USCENTCOM maintains high readiness rates for an enterprise IT infrastructure on a global scale.

We are currently hiring a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to support the Test, Analysis, and Integration Services PWS task area for the J66-SL Lab customer set, focusing on systems engineering and architecture functions. Join us to be part of a team that makes a difference.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivers a Hybrid-Cloud Enterprise End-State: Utilizes DoD CONUS and OCONUS cloud solutions for both classified and unclassified on-premises data centers, as well as tactical edge cloud computing equipment, to enhance operational and business efficiencies through cloud technology.
  • Offers Cloud Consulting Services: Specializes in the design, architecture, and estimation of future modernized cloud systems.
  • Supports Cloud Applications: Provides operations, maintenance, and enhancement services for cloud applications within all USCENTCOM cloud environments.
  • Develop Cloud Services Strategies: Offers recommendations on transforming business solutions to utilize private and public cloud services effectively.
  • Expertise in Cloud Service Providers: Demonstrates familiarity with or expertise in one or more Cloud Service Providers.
  • Integrate various systems and services using APIs and cloud-native technologies.
  • Ensuring systems comply with relevant security standards and regulations, implementing security measures, and participating in security audits and assessments.
  • Lead execution of the full project lifecycle, from planning, through implementation, to operational readiness.
  • Help resolve issues that arise in implementing solutions and systemic incident resolution.
  • Planning for scalability to accommodate future growth and implementing measures to scale systems efficiently.
  • Enhancing disaster recovery plans, rigorously testing procedures, and fortifying systems against potential failures or disasters.
  • Enforcing robust change management processes, evaluating the impact of proposed system changes, and orchestrating activities to minimize operational disruptions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires BA degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or master's with 6+ years of prior relevant experience degree, or 12+ years' experience with a High School/General Education Development diploma.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex technical issues and design effective solutions.
  • Possess effective communication and be able to collaborate with Customers, and cross-functional teams, document technical processes, and present solutions to stakeholders.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks effectively, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Requires a profound understanding of cloud computing technologies, Linux operating systems, and networking.
  • Experience with containerization software (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Proficient in engineering and administering cloud operations, automation, security networking, and SaaS services.
  • The following active certifications: SRA+, or CND, or Network+, or Security+ and ITIL 4 Training, and AWS or MS Azure Certification.
  • Must possess an active Top-Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the USCENTCOM customer performing enterprise IT services.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
