Description

The Leidos Office of Technology's Digital Modernization sector is seeking a senior Cloud Solutions Architect with technical depth in Commercial cloud and on premise private compute and store services delivered as a Managed Service or "as a Service". This is an exciting opportunity to use your technical expertise and leadership experience in support of our Federal Information Technology customers. You will support development of enterprise service solutions for new business, support ongoing contract ECPs as well as provide surge and issue support on our current programs.

This position requires leading and engaging teams of people with diverse skills to develop comprehensive solutions ranging from IT infrastructure, applications, system architecture, to full enterprise services. The successful candidate will be able to conceptualize these solutions around key business needs and goals in full awareness of industry trends. As a cloud architect, you your technical duties include infrastructure design, planning, management, maintenance and support associated with cloud computing. You will be working with Cloud Engineers to perform and manage cloud solution, cloud computing strategy and all associated documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop innovative solutions in support of major capture and proposal efforts, balance solutions against cost, schedule, function, quality, and other business considerations.
  • Support capture strategy development through technical leadership, including the creation and marketing of discriminating value propositions.
  • Serve as the principal Cloud Architect to provide engineering expertise and guidance for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of Cloud solutions that enhance overall system performance and availability.
  • Provide technical knowledge and analysis of high-level functional systems including design, and integration advice on complex matters that require expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation
  • Leverage knowledge and skills associated using cloud native services.
  • Provide guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including application migration into the Cloud.
  • Facilitate resolution of technical issues that adversely impact successful deployment or migration into the cloud .

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical fields with 12-15+ years of prior relevant experience, or Master'sdegree in technical field with 10-13+ years of prior relevant experience; Industry certifications will be considered in augmenting years of experience.
  • Lead Solutions Architect on medium or large size business captures and proposals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Wide IT architecture understanding and familiarity in different domains (Network, End Point, Compute & Store, cyber, IT Ops, Application Sustainment)
  • Demonstrated Azure and/or AWS infrastructure architect experience at expert level.
  • Demonstrated experience with private cloud compute and store technology and familiarity with on premise or traditional compute and store technology.
  • Familiarity with cloud SaaS architecture and understanding of its principles and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and maintenance of production applications in Azure and / or AWS cloud.
  • Demonstrated experience with application migrations to Cloud
  • Familiar with SecDevOps, SRE concepts and CI/CD pipelines
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Experience with system engineering methodology.
  • Experience with software development processes and methodology.
  • Knowledgeable around cloud security, security controls inheritance and system accreditation processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL Service Operations.
  • U.S. Citizenship, must have an active Secret or the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert experience with private cloud compute and store technology.
  • Experience in proposal and new business development at an expert level.
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial cloud compute and store technology at expert level.
  • Possess professional/expert level CSP certifications

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
