Scrum Master

Leidos require a Scrum Master who will be responsible for managing a small growing team who will provide a replacement service management tool. This role is based in office and involves running an onsite team, appropriately tasking with duties, resolving all blockers and ensuring service delivery is met. The Scrum Master will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical and practical solutions. This role requires a daily in-office presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Guide the Scrum Team
  • Ensure Sprint Goal Delivery: tracking progress, ensuring tasks are on track, and managing scope creep.
  • Foster Collaboration: Encourage open communication and collaboration among team members, as well as between the team and stakeholders.
  • Maintain Product Backlog: Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is refined, prioritised, and ready for future sprints.
  • Monitor Team Performance: Track team performance using key Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and other relevant KPIs.
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives and help the team identify areas for improvement, implementing actionable feedback in future sprints.
  • Support Release Planning: Assist in coordinating ServiceNow release schedules, ensuring that sprint deliverables align with overall release timelines.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Work with customers on their premises.
  • Resolve Conflicts: Address and mediate any conflicts within the team, ensuring a healthy and productive working environment.
  • Collaboration with Security Teams: Work closely with Authority security teams to align ServiceNow security measures with Authority security standards and policies.
  • Manage acceptance events and sign off, of new capabilities and functionality.
  • Ability to act as an interface between Architects, Developers and Support Staff.
  • Have technical project management awareness, including regular reporting to programme manager and provide labour forecasting, team training requirements.
  • Work with Supply Management to ensure software licencing is managed and renewed effectively.
  • Work with Service Delivery Manager to ensure delivery of service, and resources are utilised correctly.

You will have:

  • Experience in previous Scrum Master or Technical Project Manager roles.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools.
  • Understanding of ITIL/ITSM principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills:

  • ServiceNow experience is desirable.
  • Transitioning of systems to service.
