Leidos' Defense Systems Land Systems is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team...with the ability and experience to work missile defense projects within the BMD Simulations and Analysis Portfolio. As a Scrum Scrum, you'll directly support the Agile Software Development in achieving specific program objectives in support of our nation's defense. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be a strong team player, and can establish solid working relationships with peers and technical staff members within the program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all team level events (PI Planning Team Breakouts, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Feature Elaboration, Sprint Review & Retro)
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting of impediments, blockers, and risks to their Release Train Engineer
  • Work with Release Train Engineer to set performance and growth targets for their teams
  • Guides mentoring and development of agile team members
  • Participate in Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt, and any ad hoc sessions called by RTE or Agile Coach
  • Responsible for coordinating cross-team collaboration and dependencies and reporting them to the RTE
  • Ensures teamwork, progress, and artifacts are transparent to all designated stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in an engineering discipline and 4-8 years relevant experience or Masters in an engineering discipline with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Able to effectively communicate across all levels of the program
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum workflow and Kanban
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies
  • Must be a US citizen, possess and have te ability to maintain an active secret clearance
  • Full time onsite support
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAFe Scrum Master certification
  • Familiar with Jira - issue tracking and agile project management, or similar tool
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
  • Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Missile Defense.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
