Description
Leidos has an exciting opening for you as our next entry-level Safety Engineer under the digital modernization group. As a entry-level Safety Engineer, you will be required to help manage the Safety Program for the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center campus in Oklahoma City, OK. All work is conducted on-site at our client location in Oklahoma City, OK.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years.)
All new hires must pass a drug test prior to starting with Leidos.

- Supports in development of procedures, processes, standards, specifications, and systems to identify and achieve optimal control or reduction of hazards and exposures that may harm people, property, and/or the environment.
- Serves as part of a multidisciplinary team in analyzing field-level hazard-producing mechanisms.
- Research regulatory, scientific, and engineering written materials.
- Assists safety professionals in facility inspections and annual audits. Works with team to inspect new and on-going construction projects.
- Reviews construction drawings from an occupational safety and health perspective
- Provides assistance with hot work permits.
- Provides assistance with Construction Safety.
- Provides assistance with Safety Program Meetings.
- Provides weekly construction reports.
Basic Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, a related field or equivalent experience and less than 2 year of prior experience.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
