Description

The 1901 Group, under the Digital Modernization Area at Leidos, currently has an opening for a Project Manager Operations to support our MCC customer program at the customer's Federal Headquarters in Washington, DC. In this position the candidate will, under the direction of the program manager, work with a team of diverse engineers, technicians, and service desk personnel supporting operational projects, change management, procurement management, across a variety of new and existing technologies for infrastructure support at the Federal headquarters for the customer.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your project management skills to drive the next generation of solutions for our customer. As the Project Manager, you will be a key part of the Leidos team, supporting our Federal customer to develop and transition their existing system to more modernized enterprise capabilities. You will use your attention to detail and tracking to help administer the program's Change Management process and track the procurement requirements on the program.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position will require close coordination with Program Leadership and with proactive engagement amongst various stakeholders and team leads both internal and external to 1901 Group, Leidos, in project management of operational projects, procurement, change management, and other teams as required to ensure an effective communication and execution interfaces is established and maintained.

• Direct and coordinate project team personnel, ensure contract compliance, and serve as customer interface. Provide strong, proactive and assertive leadership skills that engage multidiscipline, geographically disperse work teams.
• Plan, coordinate and manage small to medium sized projects. Makes decisions at the project team level and properly escalate those decisions that cannot be resolved on a timely basis.
• Actively monitor, track and manage project tasks, timelines, dependencies, meeting or renegotiating milestones and overall quality of project activities and deliverables. Use of Reporting tools including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ServiceNow.
• Support the program manager in tracking budget and costs of each project, and providing an onsite presence and coordination point for the program and onsite staff and subcontractors.
• Integrate all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/project to meet the client or customer requirements.
• Manage technical, cost, and schedule of assigned tasks or functions.
• Provide high-quality, informative written and verbal project communications, including weekly status, dashboards and project updates for both internal and external stakeholders based on existing templates and established rhythms.
• Manage Change Management process for the customer using existing processes and procedures. Run the weekly Change Configuration Board using the change requests submitted and presented by the technical team.
• Manage specific procurement activities for the customer using existing processes and procedures. Track and manage the procurement expirations, purchases, renewals, and input into the customer's ServiceNow instance.
• General coordination of deployment to international sites using existing procedures and cadences.

Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS or equivalent experience and 4 years or prior relevant experience
• 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects
• ServiceNow experience with familiarity in dashboards and tickets
• DOD or Federal experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
• Must have a US Citizenship
• Must be able to report into the office site before 9 am, 5 days per week
• Must be available after hours in work emergencies and escalations

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Time and Material type contracts
• ServiceNow experience with change management and asset management module
• Procurement or purchasing experience
• DOD or Federal experience (Federal Acquisition Regulations contracts)
• PMP Certification or other project management certification

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
