Description

Leidos is looking to hire a project engineer to work on an integration, operations, and sustainment program. The qualified candidate will join program management office (PMO) team, working hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership and stakeholders. This position will require many facets of project management including staffing, training, finance, contracting, proposals, scheduling, risk management and day to day leadership supporting the PMO and Task order managers.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position involves work as a project engineer for a large IT program in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The successful candidate will work closely with the PMO, task order teams, external partners and stakeholders to provide significant contribution to the success of the program. Duties include all tasks associated with leading and managing a program and task order, in particular helping develop budgets and schedules, building associated reports, and briefing as necessary while also monitoring and managing those areas. The project engineer will collaborate closely with leadership on the program and support tasking and priorities as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires BS degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Must currently possess an active TS clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI with Polygraph post hire
  • Significant experience in various leadership roles on IT programs and demonstrated success focusing on continuous improvement
  • Understanding of agile organizational structures, processes, roles and responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills with experience briefing all levels of stakeholders, and establishing or supporting regular battle rhythms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An active TS/SCI with a Polygraph
  • Geospatial and/or NGA experience
  • PMP certification
  • Technical/IT certification
  • Understanding of cloud technologies specifically Amazon Web services (AWS) and cloud cost management
  • Expert understanding of agile SW development methodologies and certification (SAFe)
  • Experience with all aspects of project management (Specifically contracts, proposals, staffing, team development, financial, risk, subcontracting)
  • Experience supervising and leading teams or projects

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
