Leidos has a fantastic opportunity for a Program Finance Analyst to join our dynamic Program Operations Team supporting the United States House of Representatives. The unique experience working within the Congressional environment and in this long-standing program are unmatched. This position is based at our Capitol Hill office, located just two blocks from the Capitol. It also includes the option for some telework.

The Program Finance Analyst within this Program is part of an energetic and tight-knit group of people who provide both software and hardware IT services to Members of Congress, Leadership, and Committee Offices. Our service offerings include proprietary web-based software products that deliver industry-leading digital communications and citizen service tools to elected officials and government offices on Capitol Hill and across the United States, as well as comprehensive IT Support for all IT hardware and software.

A motivated Program Finance Analyst serving within the Leidos DSI Program will have the opportunity to perform traditional AR duties, as well as opportunities to think outside the box and demonstrate leadership and resourcefulness to provide increasingly more value to customers and the team. It will be important to take ownership of assignments and demonstrate a self-motivated and proactive approach.

The Program Finance Analyst will work independently as much as possible, with direction from the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager to perform operational and finance related tasks, manage customer accounts receivable paperwork and communication, as well as tracking and reporting of customer accounts and receivables status. The management team is transparent, accessible, and engaging. It is imperative for the Program Finance Analyst to establish relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, use a continuous improvement attitude toward the work, and take ownership for the successfulness of the performed work.

Location: Candidate would need to be located within commuting distance to Washington DC, to be in the office at least 2 days a week

The Challenge:

  • Take responsibility for tracking customers, contracts and status, and process changes.
  • Manage the effort to design and produce contract documents, process the documents for proposals and orders, and follow up to completion.
  • Set up orders, produce and send invoices, as well as plan and incorporate strategies for efficient collections to manage cash flow.
  • Record financial information and track services provided, orders, and payments.
  • Communicate with customers and others regarding invoice questions and payment status.
  • Drive AP review process with AP invoice reviews, reconciliation of actual products/services received, and an action plan for achieving timely processing.
  • Maintain low AR balances by handling aging invoices and developing strategies to reduce occurrences.
  • Research financial data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile and produce management reports demonstrating order amounts match invoiced amounts and invoiced amounts match payment amounts.
  • Produce monthly reports after recurring payment reconciliations are complete.
  • Assist others in completing subtasks and reviewing completed work by others.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining financial goals and objectives and in budget activities.

What Sets You Apart: (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree with four plus (4+) years of relevant experience. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust Security Clearance
  • Basic project task skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with customers and with individuals across teams to complete projects and tasks on time
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to evaluate processes and improve workflows
  • Complex problem solving and critical thinking skills in order to identify risks and intricate problems and to provide solutions
  • Proficient in the MS office suite
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Charts and advanced formulas, ETC)
  • Strong business communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with web-based software applications
  • Expereince with Accounts payable and Accounts receivable

Pay Range:

Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
