Leidos Health & Civil Sector is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. This position directly supports programs which provide a broad array of information, resources, referrals, mental health coaching and specialized support for military members and their families worldwide. These programs are directly responsible for supporting military community quality of life issues.

The Power BI Developer is responsible for developing, designing and, configuring, data analytics solutions that support data gathering and aggregation delivery of efficient, high quality service reporting that drives continuous improvements. Collaborates with Power BI Analyst to understand program requirements, client goals, and end user experience and needs to develop and configure appropriate Power BI reporting functionality. Incorporates analysis framework developed by Power BI Analyst in to Power BI reporting infrastructure to accurately capture a variety of data sets from multiple data platforms. Works closely with Power BI Analyst and Reporting Manager to ensure that Power BI reporting is designed and configured to feed the programs tailored dynamic dashboard and reports housed in MOSAIC. This position is a remote position and requires a quiet, private, confidential space to work from as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home or apartment (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home. Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or wireless ISP is not acceptable.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs/supports end-to-end development, deployment, and maintenance of multiple Power Platform solutions, including MOSAIC, and supporting leadership and upper managements strategic decisions.
  • Administrator of the Power Platform overseeing environments, licensing, and connectivity.
  • Gathers requirements and support development teams with upgrades and content creation provide project and Government leaders with insights leading to better, more informed decisions.
  • Supports the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, approval and prioritization Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees.
  • Supports cross-functional projects using data analysis techniques to discover insights to guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • recommends optimizations to processes for data intake, validation, data modeling, visualization and communication of deliverables.
  • Complies with quality controls and departmental standard operating procedures to align with organizational expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, or related field and 3+ years of development/analytical experience; minimum 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of programming, working with data elements within relational databases, and demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Power BI stack.
  • Familiarity with Git and/or AWS DevOps tools for development and version control.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain active Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
  • Knowledge of Agile development/management methodology.
  • Experience with machine learning, data mining, and predictive analytics.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Oozie).
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices.
