Role Overview:

As an Operations Co-Ordinator, you will be the pivotal point of contact for the operations team, ensuring seamless coordination.

You will work closely with stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations, provide critical briefs on team activities, and assist with leveraging data analysis to optimise performance and support customer decisions.

Your role will also involve planning, coordinating, and supervising key stakeholder engagement meetings, leading initiatives to enhance operational processes, and identifying potential risks to develop robust mitigation strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the operations team and various stakeholders
  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination

- Communication and Briefing:

  • Provide regular updates and briefs on team activities to stakeholders
  • Maintain clear and effective communication channels

- Data Analysis and Decision Making:

  • Utilise data analysis to assist the team in making informed decisions and optimise operational performance
  • Track trends and provide insights to inform customer decisions

- Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise key stakeholder engagement meetings
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration

Process Improvement:

  • Facilitate and lead initiatives to continuously improve operational processes
  • Incorporate the latest industry practices and technologies to enhance efficiency

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks within the operational directorate
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure resilience

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and decision-making
  • Ability to lead and influence teams
  • Experience in process improvement and risk management

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified or strong experience in a similar role

Clearance Requirements:

  • BPSS Pre-screening required to start
  • SC required for the role

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK's defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).
