Description

The Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support a fast-paced program with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, managing multiple workstation and network hardware across multiple customer sites. We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, procure, and install network systems that meet Department of Defense (DoD) specifications. In this role, you will support the development of network architectures, collaborate with procurement teams to source hardware and software, and oversee the installation and configuration of network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls. You will conduct testing to ensure functionality and security compliance, maintain accurate documentation, and provide technical support to team members and end-users.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support detailed network designs and architectures that align with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and source network hardware and software that meet project specifications.
  • Support the installation and configuration of network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
  • Support testing of network systems to ensure functionality, performance, and security compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during installation and testing phases.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, installations, and changes.
  • Support development and updates for network diagrams and other relevant technical documents.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
  • Stay updated on DoD policies and best practices related to network security and design.
  • Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure and data.

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizen with a Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelors Degree with 2+ years of experience or Masters degree
  • Knowledge of network protocols, security standards, and design principles.
  • Experience with network hardware installation and configuration.
  • Understanding of network management and troubleshooting tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and procurement processes.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Security+.
  • Experience with network performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices and risk management.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in network infrastructure.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
