Description

The Health Missions Solution currently has an opening for a Microsoft 365 Engineer to support the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on the Next Generation IT Services (NGITS) contract.

The Microsoft 365 Engineer will support the HHS enterprise by managing all aspects of Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) Software as a Service (SAAS) offerings. This position has roles from initial planning to implementation, as well as escalation and tier 3 support.

Candidate MUST be US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Candidates local to the DC Metro area are preferred and should have the capability to go into the office 2-3 days a week, as needed.

Candidates outside the area should be able to travel to the DC Metro area at a minimum once a quarter or more often, if needed.

Primary Microsoft 365 Engineer responsibilities:

  • Manage HHS GCC offering including but not limited to: Entra ID/Azure AD, Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, Power Platform, Compliance and Purview, Microsoft Defender (for Identity, Office 365, Cloud Apps)
  • Oversee hybrid configuration in the on-premises environment: Exchange 2019, Entra ID Connect (Formerly AAD Connect), Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS)
  • Implement security best practices employing Multifactor Authentication methods, conditional access policies, identity protection, app registrations etc.
  • Research new Microsoft 365, Entra/Azure or associated third party technologies and develop implementation roadmaps.
  • Utilize Microsoft platform tools such as PowerShell and Microsoft Graph for enterprise management.
  • Provide tier 3 support for HHS operational teams.
  • Implement solution deployment, changes and updates working within the HHS Change Management system.
  • Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for operational teams.
  • Provide weekly status updates to HHS and Leidos management teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent and 8+ years of related experience.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 offerings, specifically with regards to Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, and security configurations.
  • Strong MS Graph and PowerShell proficiency
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Windows Active Directory, Entra ID Connect, AD FS, network and internet concepts.
  • Previous experience performing Microsoft 365 tenant migration and consolidation.
  • Effective analytical, organizational, and problem resolution skills.
  • Work cross functionally with different teams to support HHS mission objectives.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
