Description

Leidos is seeking a Manufacturing Solution Architect to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. Location for work is Huntsville, Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manufacturing person to bridge the gap between new program Capture Managers and the manufacturing teams that execute the contracts.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will ensure appropriate Make-Buy decisions are being made that leverage our core competencies and capacities, while injecting DFM considerations upstream in the quoting and design processes. They will also make sure appropriate considerations are given for WBS and MRP execution.

As part of our Win Plan framework for capture opportunities, you will enable the Leidos Defense Business Segment to win new work by first having direct discussions with Customers and Stakeholders to understand their key issues and needs, then identifying early, key discriminators, and orchestrating Leidos' solution from customer acceptance thru approval to proceed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate will have a BS degree in engineering from an accredited university and have at least 8 years manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing operations developing manufacturing processes that utilize MRP/ERP systems, as well as PLM and MES software.
  • Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
  • Experience with NPI and program management as a solution architect and/or technical volume lead on captures and proposals.
  • Experience articulating complex technical concepts to customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executives, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience with technical documentation and white papers in support of the requirements gathering process.
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess and (be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance..

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or MS degree is a plus.
  • 5-10 Years experience with Government Space Missile and Defense Command (SMDC), Space Development Agency (SDA), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and Space Systems Command (SSC) programs.
  • Experience in modern digital engineering tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Agile, and Scrum.
  • Ability to query your own data and perform your own analysis using Excel VBA, Power BI, or SQL.
  • Experience with IIoT, Industry 4.0 and cutting edge OT methods to differentiate our manufacturing capabilities versus competitors during contract proposals.
  • Proven history analyzing Make-Buy decisions and performing capacity planning analysis for labor and equipment.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
