Leidos Dynetics is seeking a Manufacturing Bill of Materials Coordinator (mBOM) to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. Location for work is Huntsville, Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Bill of Materials Coordinator to oversee mBOM's across five manufacturing sites in the Defense business. Our "Making Smart Smarter" processes allow us to leverage Power BI dashboards and AI Exception monitoring to proactively stay ahead of mBOM changes instead of reactively firefighting.

Primary Responsibilities

This role will help set standards for proper mBOM indentions to drive correct MRP planning. The successful candidate will be versed in the ECN process to make sure revision levels and effectivity dates are maintained for mBOM structures, which could include the use of phantom items to better reflect how the product is built.

This person will work with a team of data scientist to establish and refine pro-active monitoring tools with exception based alert messaging. They will need to be skilled in PLM and ERP systems to navigate the upstream-to-downstream flow of information, and they will also need to have the right personality to work with the production teams to make sure their needs are collected and conveyed to the analytics team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate will have a BS degree in engineering from an accredited university and have at least 4 years of experience creating and maintaining mBOM's.
  • Hands-on experience with PLM/ERP/MES software.
  • Demonstrated experience with ECN's, effectivity dates and substitutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all members of Production and Analytics teams.
  • Experience with phantom items in mBOM's and the understanding of how they impact MRP.
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to query your own data and perform your own analysis using Excel VBA, Power BI, or SQL.
  • Experience in modern digital engineering tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Agile, and Scrum.
  • MRP experience with unit of measure conversions and different order policies.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
