Our Global Supply Chain organization is seeking a Manager, Global Supply Chain to support the programs, proposals, and business objectives of the National Security Sector. This role will lead a team responsible for the full life cycle ("cradle-to-grave") subcontract management activities supporting primarily US Government programs which complies with contract requirements, company policies and procedures, and applicable laws and acquisition regulations. Initially, this role will support the Homeland & Force Protection Business Area's Force Protection Solutions Division which supports programs and proposal opportunities to deliver unified open-architecture, agile, multi-domain solutions as an advanced designer and integrator of physical access control; intrusion detection; counter-unmanned; biometric; identity management; chemical biological and energetic capabilities for the US, International Government, and highly-regulated commercial customers that keep pace with and defeat rapidly evolving threats.

The successful candidate will manage a team of Subcontracts professionals, providing strategic leadership in Supply Chain and acting as a key interface between Leidos management and senior supplier management. The team will serve as the primary liaison between subcontractors and the program, contractually managing agreements of various types (i.e., typically of a high dollar value, risk, and complexity). This role will require close collaboration with other functions, such as contracts, project control, finance, growth, to ensure the successful execution of the assigned portfolio. In addition to leading the team, the candidate may be tasked to directly manage subcontracts on select programs when needed or help with special projects and corporate initiatives. They will be expected to align subcontract outcomes with program and division objectives, communicate effectively, manage their time efficiently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines with minimal supervision, and demonstrate attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, capable of working independently, and willing to roll up their sleeves to ensure the success of both their team and their individual contributions.

Primary Responsibilities

The position requires the use of business acumen, the demonstration of sound judgement, and a thorough knowledge of federal subcontracting and experience providing creative solutions to business and program requirements. While not an exhaustive list, activities in the subcontracting process that are responsibilities of this role are: performing and leading a team of Subcontracts professionals in crafting teaming strategy and leading proposal activities, subcontract award, and post-award management (e.g., subcontract modifications, risk identification & mitigation, issue resolution, internal reporting, closeout activities, etc.). Further, the position will be expected to identify and mitigate complex issues or risks for their assigned portfolio.

As a manager, this position will be responsible for making assignments and setting clear expectations, holding staff accountable to commitments and goals, overseeing the quality of work under their responsibility, conducting performance reviews, developing and encouraging their team to perform at a high level.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience. Generally has 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Experience awarding and managing subcontracts in a government approved purchasing system including an advanced knowledge of the requirements of the FAR and DFARS
  • Successful track record of using negotiating skills to maximize organizational return, minimize risk, improve price, and terms and conditions position
  • Successful track record of managing a variety of subcontract types, interfacing with internal customers, other functional support staff, and suppliers
  • Experience independently leading the subcontracts portion of proposal efforts
  • Must have the organizational skills to manage concurrent projects and possess the business acumen to appropriately prioritize actions and deal effectively with subcontract management issues of varying degrees of complexity
  • Must be able to clearly communicate, including presenting status updates and issues to senior management, internal partners, and suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree preference: Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
  • Experience building strong supplier relationships that can be leveraged to assist in future issue resolution
  • Experience supervising or leading a team(s)
  • Working experience with automated purchasing system (preferably Deltek Costpoint and iValua)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
